Position Summary:
Support engineering team in new manufacturing process. Tooling area (includes molds) is under engineering, and requires a technician to install and maintain quality. The position will support process engineers & production with process yield, quality improvements, and uptime improvement projects and technical support.
Responsibilities:
Prepare, clean, inspect, repair and install molds to meet production requirements.
Assist in yield, cycle time, quality, and machine uptime improvements in the molding process.
Provide technical support for production with engineering guidance; this includes machine troubleshooting, start-up problems.
Assist in collecting data and analyzing data for DOE.
Provide improvement feedback for any equipment issues.
Assist in managing the spare parts needed for tooling.
Requirements:
2 years molding experience.
2 year degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
Qualifications, education, and experience will determine hiring level.
